Introduction

Yves Bennaïm is an Online Media Specialist, Web Strategy Consultant, and Logo Designer.

Yves was born in Geneva, traveled as far and as much as he could, lived 3 years in Brisbane, 4 in Paris, and landed in Tokyo 5 years ago. He’s currently spending time in Shanghai.

He is always looking for new things to learn and that’s one of the reason why he loves the Internet. He got his first computer when the Mac came out in 1984, his first email address in 1992, published his first website in 1995, offered web design/hosting and email services in 1996, became Art Director at Lycos Europe in 2000, built and managed Japan.com in 2003. He worked as an Internet consultant for clients such as Mitsubishi Electric Europe, Park Hyatt Tokyo, and AOL (Weblogs Inc).

He has ventured successfully in almost everything available on the Net, from selling domain names, hosting, and mobile phones ringtones, to viral marketing and white-hat search engine optimization, to publishing and syndication. Recently, he launched the 3yen.com federated blogs network about Japan, and brought it from zero to half a million pages per month (and profit) within a year. Yves is currently working as a Producer at Meta4 Group, one of the very rare Chinese Internet ventures successful internationally and in Japan.

In general, Yves loves design, problem solving, creativity, and everything that challenges the brain, the eyes, the taste buds, or a mix of all of the above. His hobbies include everything and anything artistic, and what’s clever but not pretentious. Overall, Yves spends too much time in front of a screen.
